Fellowships Project Manager

Nicolas Blanco is a queer filmmaker from Bogota, Colombia. He has produced and directed award-winning films in both fiction and documentary.

After moving around different countries over the past fifteen years, Nicolas became fascinated with the ability of films to create community and bring people together across cultural borders. After graduating from Tulane University, double majoring in Marketing and Finance, he worked in Finance and PR in New York City before working in Production. In 2017, he moved back to Colombia where he produced his first feature film. After this, he relocated to Los Angeles where he attended the American Film Institute Conservatory, from which he recently graduated.

Nicolas realized the importance of diverse representation on screen at an early age and has been passionate about the social impact the entertainment industry has. This led him to the Latino Film Institute where he is the project manager for their fellowship programs, all the while still working independently as a producer and director.
