A young girl dreams of becoming a cowgirl, only to realize it is not as easy as it looks.
A young girl spends her days fantasizing about becoming a cowgirl. Using a book of instructions and having the look down, she quickly becomes discouraged when she realizes it requires actual work.
Ambar Navarro is a filmmaker and artist from San Antonio, Texas based in Los Angeles. Spending much of her time growing up attending music shows and working at the local arthouse movie theater, she moved to attend CalArts and earn a B.F.A. in Experimental Animation. Since graduating she has worked in music videos, commercials, and personal work. Her photography has been featured in 60+ galleries and on publications such as NPR, Rolling Stone, and Wall Street Journal. She continues to make personal shorts, always shot on film and often in the theme of Texas.
