Learn visual storytelling from your favorite Latine filmmakers! In this 3-part workshop series from Film Reframed, you'll uncover actionable techniques to create your own cinematic images. Each workshop features dozens of illustrative examples, making this a truly unforgettable experience for visual learners.

Join us virtually from May 31st through June 2nd and walk away with unique insights to improve your craft at every level - whether you're an aspiring filmmaker or industry veteran! The three sessions will cover:

Latine Art and Cinema
You’ve heard filmmakers reference painters and sculptors as inspiration for their cinematic masterpieces - but aren’t their influences always a little... Euro-centric? In this workshop, we’ll uncover incredible masterpieces throughout the history of Latine art and culture, and learn how to thoughtfully analyze artwork to apply a fresh aesthetic to your own films.

Composing with Color
It’s time to make bold, vibrant cinema! If you’ve ever been cautious with your production design or lighting because you weren’t confident in your color competence - this workshop is for you. Using images exclusively from Latine films, we’ll dive deep into the way color science and perception actually work - and teach you a 6-step process to uncover the perfect palette for your next shot!

Visualizing your ideas
Time to get inspired! When it’s time to communicate your most unique ideas, you’ll need more than words to share your vision with the team. That’s where pre-vis comes in! In this workshop, we’ll teach you how to storyboard and visualize your own shots, even if you can’t draw (we mean it!). Be sure to bring paper and a pencil to the webinar to get the most out of this session.
