Erika Sabel Flores is a Los Angeles based filmmaker. Born and raised in Mexico City, she attended university in the UK and acting conservatory in NY. She holds a BA in Business with a Marketing major, MA degrees in Communications and Psychology and speaks Spanish fluently.

Erika has over 15 years of experience working in front and behind the camera. She has credits as a Writer, Producer, Director, Actor, Casting Director and Assistant Director. Her well rounded knowledge of the filmmaking process and her strong work ethic, have earned her opportunities to work in a variety of media and contribute to the making of over 100 projects including feature films, TV shows, documentaries, short films, commercials, digital content and more.

Erika is passionate about inclusion, diversity and fair representation in the entertainment industry. She believes by teaching and mentoring young people from unrepresented backgrounds, the industry can be transformed from the ground up. In her work as Program Director of the Youth Cinema Project, she is a fierce advocate for her students and their voices. “The Last Deal”, a short film she produced as a mentoring project for teens from The Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard, won the 2017 “MetLife National Merit Award for Program Excellence.”

In her free time she loves to travel, take long walks with her dog, volunteer for animal rights organizations and go to the movies.
