Two local New York DJs walk into a Red Hook record shop searching for a rare salsa record, where the record shop clerk shares their love of Caribbean music. As the day unfolds, different dynamics come to the surface between the three of them.

Mario Rubén Carrión was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and he lives in Brooklyn, New York. Carrión is a photographer, editor and, first-time film director. For the past decade, he has built community all over the Latinx cultural scene in NYC as a photographer & video creator. Most recently, he edited the award winning documentary We Still Here. Mario is inspired by the untold stories of his people, both on the island and in the diaspora. Such is the case with his first short film, "Record Shop".
