"Brownsville Bred" is a coming of age drama based on a true story and adapted from the award-winning novel and critically acclaimed stageplay of the same name. Elaine Del Valle is a Brownsville, Brooklyn-bred Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate storyteller with a passion for directing. Her festival awards include from SXSW, Urbanworld, Catalyst Stories, and Seriesfest. She is a WarnerMedia 150 Artist, Sundance Writer & Director Lab alumna, and winner of the HBOLatinx short film Director award. Her short films, "Me 3.769" and "Princess Cut", went on to air on HBOmax.
As a writer across mediums, Elaine's off-Broadway stageplay was hailed by The New York Times, "From Girlhood Trials to Onstage Triumph." Her original one-hour procedural drama pilot, "The System", was bought by the CBS network.
