After losing her job for insider trading, Adaliz moves in with her childhood bestie Chuchi, who teaches her how to be poor.
Set in the Bay area, buddy comedy Chuchi & Adaliz is a five episode, single-camera digital series that follows two childhood besties who, despite having a shared racial and ethnic identity as Afro Puerto Ricans, couldn’t be more different.
When Adaliz loses her high-power corporate job in San Francisco is forced to move in with Chuchi, in Oakland. They're in for a rude awakening as they realize that what brought them together as kids isn't enough to keep them together as adults.
DANI ADALIZ (ep. 1, 2, 4, & 5) is a bi-racial Afro-Latina actress, comedian, writer, and director and MOTH story slam winner. Dani’s credits include "Chuchi and Adaliz" (Debuted at SXSW 2023), Broadway Video, VO for "Michelle Rojas Is Not Okay", Buzzfeed, Mitu and The Moth Radio hour.
LANCE HOLLOWAY (ep.3): Lance recently consulted on season 2 of Starz’s BLINDSPOTTING, which he also acted in as a recurring character, reprising his role as Cuttie from the feature film. He grew up in Oakland and played basketball throughout his youth and college, then professionally in Europe, Mexico, and South America.
