The Latino Film Institute (LFI) is proud to announce the 2025 award winners of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), honoring outstanding talent and groundbreaking work across U.S. Latino film, animation, and episodic content.
The Latino Film Institute (LFI) has announced the full lineup for the 24th edition of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), which will take place from May 28 through June 1, 2025, at the historic TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood, CA.
LALIFF has now been officially added to the list recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as an Oscar® Qualifying Festival. Films that win the Best U.S. Latino Live Action Short and U.S. Latino Animated Short categories at the festival will now be eligible for consideration at the 98th Academy Awards.
LALIFF will open with critically acclaimed In the Summers, and close with the World Premiere of Grassland. This edition will include an expanded industry program footprint with a new film market, over 90 films, 19 world premieres, and over 150 Youth Cinema Project student films.
