Ticket Information

LALIFF 2021 is a hybrid festival, with a combination of in-person and virtual screenings.

Tickets for all festival screenings (virtual and in-person), are on sale now. Below you will find useful information regarding ticket purchases.

Ticket Prices:

  • Virtual Screenings: $10*
  • In-Person Screenings: $15*
  • Opening Night Film & Gala: $250*
  • Special Preview Screening of In The Heights & Gala: $250*
  • Closing Night Film & Gala: $150*

Virtual Screenings:

All virtual screenings will happen through our platform, and you can access the films through our website LALIFF.org.

The films will be available for streaming in California.

The shorts programs “Foretold Chronicles'', “Discreet Charms”, “Animated Shorts Program Presented by Cartoon Cartoons” and “Short Episodics: Photos & Memories” are available to be watched any time between June 2nd and June 6th. Q&As will automatically start when the films are over.

Features will premiere every evening at 7:00pm PT and access will be allowed until 11:59pm PT. Q&As will automatically start when the films are over.

Selected features will have a second screening on Sunday, June 6th, available from 5:00am to 11:59pm PT. Q&As will automatically start when the films are over.

Access to our Art Programming, Music Programming and Cafecitos is free and through our website.

Industry passes are available for industry professionals and give access to our specialized masterclasses, panels and networking events. For more information go to Industry Registration.

In-Person Screenings:

Tickets for in-person screenings will be available for purchase through our website and at our box office in the TCL Chinese 6 Theater. The box office will open one hour prior to the first in-person screening each festival day between Thursday June 3rd and Sunday June 6th.

Social distancing will be in place in all areas of the theater. Mask wearing is mandatory. Audience members not wearing masks will not be admitted into the theater and will lose their ticket without a refund.

To ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols, all audience seating will be assigned by LALIFF staff upon entry into the theater.

Some screenings will be attended by the filmmakers and talent for a live Q&A.

15 minutes after the start time of a screening, late patrons will not be admitted into the theater and will lose their ticket without a refund.

If a screening is at capacity, tickets may become available through a standby line.

Admission is subject to theater capacity. You must be in your seat at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled showtime or your seat may be released to the standby line.

Important:

FOR ALL GALA SCREENINGS (OPENING NIGHT, SPECIAL PREVIEW OF IN THE HEIGHTS, CLOSING NIGHT)

All guests must show ID along with one of the following to be allowed entrance: 
 
1) A valid COVID-19 vaccination card with the second shot (or only shot if Johnson & Johnson) being AT LEAST two weeks BEFORE the date of the event you're attending
 
OR 
 
2) A COVID-19 test with a NEGATIVE result administered WITHIN 72 HOURS of the date of the event you're attending.
